The B.E.S.T. Program, which focuses on providing meaningful employment and life skills training opportunities to adults with disabilities, was looking for a new location to house their storefront, where participants create and sell handmade items like soaps, candles, and jewelry, with 100% of the proceeds benefiting the creators.
The project saw a carefully coordinated interior renovation within an existing mixed-use building, requiring thoughtful planning and execution to accommodate occupied residential units above. The build-out directly supports the mission, requiring a thoughtful balance between functionality, durability, and a welcoming environment.

“The team from Pizzano were very engaged with our sustainability values and went to great lengths to help us find ways to reuse and recycle as much as possible.”
